It seems almost a shame to assault your senses with the before shots, but you cannot understand the true measure of my joy withuot first getting a glimpse of my pain:
Cute, isn't it, the way everything was color coordinated with the PeptoBismol pink and cranberry hued tile? Perhaps my favorite feature was this delightful piece of lighting history:
And as we did not install the new one until last week, that meant I lived in a bathroom with no artificial light for one year plus one half of one year. Nothing says relaxation like reading in a bubble bath lit delicately with halogen construction lights plugged into the hallway.
Not kidding.
But look at our lights now!
We still need new towels and a window covering, but I've been able to bathe in my own home for almost a week now. Count my many blessings.
A new bathroom is truly a thing of beauty. I am so happy for you guys to have a newly remodeled sanctuary!!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed! You guys worked hard, and Kristie's even pregnant! Your new bathroom looks amazing. Much, much better than the pink stuff on the walls. Good work!
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful... refreshing and relaxing!
ReplyDeleteIt looks SO GOOD! And wow, what an amazing transformation. I'm sure the week of treking to Mom's is so worth it now.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I thought you'd have that pink bathroom forever! I'm glad I had the opportunity to enjoy that space a couple times before the change. How did you cover the tile? It all looks soooo great! Congrats! Oh, and good thing the toilet wasn't pink, too.
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks great! I love a good remodeling project, great job, you guys! :)
ReplyDeleteSo, I stalk your blog back. Never has anything so ugly been made into something so beautiful! I love the pretty bright (but not too bright) color!

ReplyDeleteHi! I JUST found your blog through another blog... not really sure how I came over here, but I did! I love your new bathroom and was wondering how the heck you got rid of that tile?? Did you paint over it or totally replace it with something different? We have old people bathrooms in our house and I want to figure out a way to get rid of it!
